TSA ALERT: Tailwind is an “energy dense” substance!
We have now had two reports of this happening so we thought it important to share. Apparently, Tailwind can set off an alarm for “explosives trace detection” because the dextrose monohydrate that is used in Tailwind is “energy dense”.
We suggest checking Tailwind in your bag, or if you carry it in a carry-on, to use an unopened bag. We tried contacting TSA for additional suggestions, but no luck there.
We always knew that Tailwind was “energy dense”, but never thought it could trigger an alarm for explosives!
